The walk starts from the base of the complex, located in San Martin Park, and after a little bit over 8 minutes enjoying a unique view of buildings, streets and green spaces, you get to the summit of San Bernardo Hill, where an artificial waterfall awaits for visitors.
A walk down the hill is really lovely, because you enjoy the incessant murmur of water falling from the waterfall. The water runs through the walk through the beautiful scenery and lush vegetation. Tourists will be able to see beautiful gardens with native trees and flowers of the region, which give off a delicious aroma.
From the viewpoints are seen in the distance the roads that leads to the “Valles Calchaquíes” (“Calchaquíes Valleys”), in adittion to the others that are directed toward the Puna of Salta province. The Cut domes of the churches of La Merced, San Francisco and San Alfonso, in addition to the Cathedral, are easily distinguished from the village, like the Cabildo and the rest of the buildings surrounding the “Plaza 9 Julio” (“July 9th Square”).
The summit will also provide different services such as cake shop, in a prime location. There you can see whole families enjoying a drink or some lonely just came up there for a while reading.
There are also playgrounds for children's recreation, ecological path, local crafts, gym, amphitheater, a shop where you can purchase official merchandise from the cable car, and there are services declines in mountain bike, all framed in a singular beauty.
Safety and quality of service
This complex consists of 25 cabins for 4 to 6 people who normally work for the summer and has six shelves made without blindex. It has carrying capacity for 300 people per hour, has 9 tubular towers with a maximum height of 32.60 m and 4.60 m high.
The cabins have an automatic system for opening and closing doors, that´s why it is impossible for the travelers to manipulate the door from within. Visitors are fully covered for any inconvenience.
On the ground floor of the central building is located a shopping area where you can buy various souvenirs craft passing through the cable car. There you can find from regional products as matt and llama wool blankets to sweet in the region as the traditional gingerbread Salta.
